Yeah. It’s Friday.

It’s been a shitty week, other than the weather.  It’s slow at Hood Rich HQ and everyone seems to be in a bad mood.  Tony’s looking at animated gifs.  Glitter Boi’s probably in study hall (OMG #2 today at 3).  Matt’s still looking for his misplaced pants.

Me?  I’m just trying to get out of the office before death comes calling.  Fuck it.  It’s about to be the weekend.  Work for it, son.

Decade Retrospective: Year 2008

No contest for this one. As in, it took my a few hours on each of my previous posts, sorting and thinking and figuring out which album was strongest and best represented what I thought was a top album of the year, while also trying to remember if it was my favorite at the time. For 2008, though, there was only one record that caught serious rotation on the ol’ turntable.

And, no, it’s not fucking Hercules and Love Affair. That shit is a vile heap of retarded suckitude.

Who else could it be, other than the subject of my weeks-long, hope-on-the-horizon Hiatus Watch? TV on the Radio’s Dear Science is easily the best album of 2008 and makes a strong push for top honors of the decade. Continue reading…
