On The Record:
Straight Up Hood Rich is an independently run music blog based out of Pittsburgh & Brooklyn. It is run by a few music enthusiasts who try not to take themselves too seriously and love to get down.
Off The Record:
Although the actual birth date of Straight Up Hood Rich is unknown, scholars have suggested SUHR was actually formed in a sub planetarian explosion caused by interstellar asteroids crashing here on Earth sometime in the Preclassic Period. In 1966 a group of Mexican scientists were studying a group of Mayan ruins where they found mysterious symbols including radiating balls of stone falling from the sky representing the shape of what we refer to as the “$” money sign.
Ever since this discovery, these scientists have gone mad claiming they hear music deep in their minds that they claim is better than The Beach Boys’ Christmas Album. Some of the genres the regularly experienced were Electronic, House, Indie Rock, and Jazz. This website is a record for the music they experienced. This website is Straight Up Hood Rich.
